Summer trends to try

Try a new, textured hair style, and skip your drying summer keratin  straightening routine. This season (and this year!) great hair is all about texture, body and movement, not flat, straight, limp hair. Using styling cremes like our Beachy Wave Defining Creme or Polished Smoothing Balm help work in wave and movement while decreasing frizz or too much volume.

A 'damp' hair texture is super cool right now, so don't over dry, or overuse your hot tools (skip); we suggest applying your hair product & simply letting your hair dry naturally (try).

Skip the fuss with trendy hot wavers and curling wands and try braiding hair for softer, more effortless looking wavy hair. Apply a light leave-in conditioner like our Beautiful Hydrating Elixir and braid the hair for a sleek cool look during the day, then undo the braid when dry and shake out for an easy textured, sexy nighttime 'do.
Also, skip your regular blah, run-around pony tail and try jazzing it up with a simple braid, twist, top pony (do a high pony with the top half or your hair and leave the bottom loose and wavy) or topknot, for a cool and chic daytime look.
Skip those drying, sulfate-laden shampoos you've been using and try our clean, sodium and sulfate free cleansers like Pure, Smooth and Dreamy that deeply moisturize while removing impurities without harsh detergents, adds shine and help your color last longer.
Try dimensional, sun-kissed hair color and skip the bleach, heavy duty highlights and all-over color. Your hair color should look natural with different tones and dimension throughout. Your stylists can layer multiple shades to highlight the texture of your hair style and the shape of your face. Adding dimension makes hair coloring look more natural - and younger looking.
Try experimenting with pastel fashion shades too, and skip the typical (and boring) brown and blonde tones. On brunette hair, try tangerine and strawberry instead of caramel to warm it, or a blue hue to cool off the color. Blondes should add pastel pink or yellow to warm up, or violet or citrine (a beautiful pale green) to cool it down. Bye bye boring old beige!
